BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 8, 2009-- Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE: RF) has named Nick Stonestreet as executive vice president leading the Private Banking division in its Business Services Group. In this capacity, Stonestreet will provide direct oversight for products and services for high net worth clients.

Stonestreet brings 22 years of financial services experience as a seasoned private banking executive to Regions. Most recently, he served as president and Chief Executive Officer for BCR Environmental, LLC. Prior to joining BCR Environmental, Stonestreet ran private banking in the Southeast for Merrill Lynch. During his more than 14 years with Merrill Lynch, Stonestreet held many international positions including Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, Bank Suisse in Geneva, Switzerland; Chairman and global head of International Trust and Wealth Structuring; global co-head of private wealth services, where he focused on Latin America; director of Private Banking, New York Foreign Office; and director of Private Banking, Amsterdam Office. Prior to working at Merrill Lynch, Stonestreet worked at SunTrust Bank as vice president/trust officer and credit analyst. He began his career at Dupont do Brasil in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as a financial analyst.
