JCPenney Board of Directors Declares Quarterly Dividend

PLANO, Texas (Sept. 18, 2009) – J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend on the Company's common stock of $0.20 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 2, 2009, to Company stockholders of record at the close of business on Oct. 9, 2009.
